Accessibility
statement.

How this website was made accessible, what it offers, where it still falls short – and whom to tell when something does not work for you.

Standard: WCAG 2.2 AA · EN 301 549 · Last updated: 25 October 2026

01 · Commitment & standard

What we aim for, and the standard we measure against.

Our commitment

Daktel Group builds technology for people who are getting older, and for the people who care for them. We want everyone to be able to use this website – including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or who are sensitive to motion. Accessibility is part of how the site is designed, built and tested, not something added at the end.

The standard we work to

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, published by the W3C. Level AA of WCAG is the basis of the European standard EN 301 549, which implements the European Accessibility Act, and of the way the Americans with Disabilities Act is applied to websites.

Conformance status

As of October 2026, the website is conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA with the exceptions listed under "Known limitations" below. Conformance was assessed on all eleven pages of the site at nine screen widths, from 320 pixels (a small phone) to 1920 pixels (a wide desktop screen).

02 · What we did

How the site was tested and what it offers.

How the site was tested

In October 2026 the site went through a full accessibility review: automated checks (WAVE and Lighthouse), measurement of text contrast across the whole scrolling page, and manual testing – using the site with the keyboard alone, and with screen-reader software of the kind blind users rely on. The findings were fixed before this statement was published; what remains is listed under "Known limitations".

What you will find on the site

  • Keyboard. Every part of the site can be used with the keyboard alone: the menus, the video player, the expanding panels, the forms. A visible focus ring shows where you are, and a "Skip to content" link appears as the first Tab stop on every page.
  • Screen readers. Pages use proper headings and landmarks, controls carry names and states, form fields have labels and spoken error messages, decorative graphics are hidden, and links that open a new tab say so.
  • Motion. The site uses gentle animation. A Pause motion button at the bottom right of every page stops all of it; your choice is remembered. The site also honours the "reduce motion" setting of your operating system.
  • Contrast and text. Text colours meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios on every background, including text over photographs. No text is smaller than 11 pixels, and the layout works at 200% zoom and with enlarged text spacing.
  • Touch. Buttons and links have targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels, and the site adapts to phones and tablets in both orientations.
  • Cookies. Nothing beyond what the site needs is loaded without your consent, and the consent card can be operated with the keyboard.
03 · Using the site

Browsers, assistive technology and display settings.

Browsers and assistive technology

The site is tested with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop, and Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android, together with VoiceOver, NVDA and TalkBack. It does not rely on any plug-in.

Adjusting the display

You can enlarge the whole page with your browser's zoom (Ctrl or ⌘ and +) up to 200%, or enlarge the text alone, without losing content or having to scroll sideways. The site also honours the "reduce motion" setting of your operating system, and its own Pause motion button stops all animation on the page.

04 · Known limitations

What is not fully accessible yet, and why.

Videos

The Daktel films embedded on the site are hosted on YouTube. They include synchronized captions burned into the picture. Closed captions that can be switched on and off, and audio description, are not yet available; we plan to add closed captions on YouTube.

PDF documents

The "Security & Resilience Overview" is a tagged, accessible PDF with headings, bookmarks and a declared language. Older documents that we may link to in the future will be checked before they are published.

Third-party components

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. In the rare case that it asks you to confirm you are human, the checkbox it shows is Cloudflare's own and is designed to work with the keyboard and screen readers; we cannot change it. The YouTube player, once you allow it to load, is also a third-party component.

Content on dark backgrounds

A few short passages are laid over photographs or animated backgrounds. We have measured and corrected their contrast at every screen width; if you still find a passage hard to read, please tell us – it will be fixed.
